Senior Product & Quality Engineer
Due to the continued growth of DisplayLink and success of our products we are looking for an experienced Product & Quality Engineer to join the Operations team to act as the main bridge between engineering and external manufacturing.
DisplayLink is a semiconductor and Software Company, our “Network Display” technology provides innovative ways to connect computers to displays and has the potential to revolutionize display connectivity on the personal computer and beyond.
DisplayLink launched its first semiconductor product family for USB network displays into the market in December of 2006 and has quickly signed up an impressive customer base including tier-1 PC OEMs and LCD display manufacturers.
This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious senior product and quality engineer to take on the responsibility of the technical liaison with the semiconductor foundries and assembly houses. As DisplayLink continues to grow there are exceptional career paths available, for example managing a team to focus on areas such as Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, Test and Logistics as the manufacturing volumes increase.
Initial main areas of focus include monitoring, reporting and working closely with the Silicon Foundry, Device Assembly (yield analysis, cost reduction), managing Quality Systems (RMA process, quality metrics, vendor performance), reliability and logistics.
As this is a senior role, significant commercial experience is required involving both silicon foundry and assembly houses. Demonstrable success in yield enhancement and cost reduction is a must as is the ability to communicate clearly at all levels and with external partners, particularly with manufacturing partners based in China.
