As part of our clients development team, you will be involved in all aspects of product development, concentrating on the improvement of their SyncML based sync engine, as well as working on further development of the Web front-end of the product. Primary responsibility will be to develop functional additions to the product and for ensuring that the product is highly scalable (up to 10,000,000 users). Part of the role may also involve authoring technical specifications and documentation. You may also be required to attend client meetings and on occasion help customer support engineers diagnose complex problems.Skills & ExperienceA minimum of 3-5 years’ experience developing Java applications and at least 2 years developing Java applications in a Web environment. Must be able to demonstrate experience developing applications to J2EE standards using both servlet technology and EJB containers. A solid understanding of relational databases is essential and experience of large and scalable databases installations will be beneficial.

Suitable candidates will be self-motivated and work well as part of a team. You will communicate well at all levels and be comfortable speaking to clients and end users. You will also be comfortable writing technical documentation and will be used to documenting your own code thoroughly and clearly.
